Tanya Primo Jones
LCSW, CADCII, RYT200
My passion for helping others was born through my own journey of healing and self-discovery. I believe that the best version of ourselves can become buried under life circumstance [past and present], trauma, mental health challenges and substance abuse. Whether your problems are severe or you are ambivalent about making a decision, therapy can help! I provide a safe environment, meeting my clients with kindness, empathy, and non-judgment to help them live a more authentic, healthy and balanced life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCII), and a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200). I specialize in substance abuse/addiction and all that goes along with that such as family dynamics, codependency, adult children of alcoholics (ACOA), trauma, shame/guilt, grief/loss, body image and low self-esteem; my sub-specialties include anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. As an RYT200 I love that I can provide my clients the opportunity to incorporate breath work, mindfulness and even Asana (poses) for more integrative mind, body, spirit healing.
To me, self-care is an ethical obligation as a therapist; in my free time I enjoy all things health & fitness, yoga, reading, hiking, travel, a good cup of coffee and spending time with my husband, 3 college age sons, and best friends.
My mission is to instill hope and self-love to those that are struggling. I am humbled and honored to be doing this work, and that my clients allow me to walk alongside them on their journey to recovery.
